What We Do
Atym is leading the next-gen containerization standard for resource-constrained edge devices. Powered by WebAssembly and rooted in the open source Ocre project from the Linux Foundation, our platform enables organizations to securely deploy and manage tiny, Docker-like containers on CPU and MCU-based devices that have as little as 256KB of memory.
Our enterprise-grade orchestration hub simplifies the integration of AI and other software on embedded devices by turning firmware and embedded Linux into containerized software. Atym containers can be written in choice of programming language (e.g. C, Python, Go, Rust), hosted in the same repositories as traditional Docker containers, and independently updated on devices without impacting other code or requiring a reboot.
Key benefits include faster time to market, reduced development cost, code portability across different chipset architectures, increased cybersecurity, and improved IP protection.
Specific to security, Atym enables isolation between containerized applications and underlying hardware, simplifies SBOM generation, provides a transition to memory safe programming languages without requiring legacy C code to be completely rewritten, and establishes a flexible foundation for developers to programmatically address new regulations like the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA).
In terms of edge AI, Atym enables embedded and AI developers to collaborate efficiently without having to learn new skills or workflows. On-device AI models can be remotely updated on the fly without affecting other code which prevents downtime and reduces bits transmitted across constrained networks.
